In a split ruling, five conservative justices decided that any candidate who tries to overthrow the government can still get elected, as long as they have the support of Congress. Alex Woodward reports
They’re setting the politicians up as oppressive rulers beholden only to each other, rather than democratically elected representatives of the people.
Alternatively, every four years the loser will encite a mob, leading to them saying that elections are too dangerous, therefore revoked.
There is no good outcome unless trump is held accountable and goes to jail. They’ve had four years to prosecute him and have failed to do so.
