This is great! I lived in chicago briefly & had a micro-park like these right next door. Used to spend so much time there, it was my favorite place in the neighborhood.
I love to see Milwaukee embracing the micro park concept & really appreciate the way that they are handling programming in these spaces.
This has to be considered against using the vacant lots to build more housing.
Very true! The attitude in the article mentions a similar sentiment… the person they interviewed about a particular lot talked about how the lot was vacant for over 25 years. It could someday be something else, but for now its a park.
