This is one of the best examples of how the Great Lakes Compact works. Waukesha will be returning all water pumped out of Lake Michigan back into Lake Michigan, meaning essentially no net loss for the lake. Given the situation with radon in Waukesha ground water, this couldn’t come at a better time for the community.
I hope this isn’t a flint Michigan situation with the ground water
Anyone see the notice sent along with their water bill this month? Right now my wife and I pay around $50-60 per month, and if the notice holds true by the end of the year it could be between $80-100 per month.
Don’t get me wrong - better than the alternative (houses without good water don’t sell well in the real estate market), but it’s like everything else - costs keep going up!
