Do you have any games that you like but you never finished for any reason? Which game is it? Doesn’t matter how many times you play and replay it you just never get to see the credits roll. I think Skyrim gonna be a quite common answer xD
Played heaps of Warhammer and rarely reach the long victory condition. Ah well one day maybe I’ll finish a full campaign!
Elden Ring, it seriously burnt me out exploring every crevasse…
This would have to be mine too. I played for 80ish hours and stopped right after I made it to the Capital. I still feel like I got my money’s worth and enjoyed every minute of it.
Same here. Currently at Maliketh and not super interested in dealing with his shenanigans 😂 maybe I’ll decide to one day.
I have to restart Hollow Knight because I got stuck in an impossible area called the king’s dream I think? I got fed up with the difficult challenge and could exit it so I quit
I like Rocket League and I can’t finish it cause it’s just that pure and fun.
- No roaster balance changes required like other competitive game.
- High skill ceiling that just keep getting pushed beyond my imagination. And pros did all those in just 1 standard type of arena shape.
- There are still untapped ways to change the game play while they experiential with the limited time modes.(I like the smashbro, knockout mode a lot)
Outer Wilds. I got super into it for a few days, got distracted and stopped for a bit, then couldn’t remember what I was supposed to do when I picked it up again. I should really start again from scratch but haven’t been able to convince myself to do so yet
Oh man you gotta go back and finish this one. It’s become one of my favorite games of all time
I bought it recently because I heard very high praise both for the game and the unofficial VR mod. It’s been stuck in my backlog for a while now, though.
I was in to this one too but it made me car sick in the worst way. Eventually I just put it down and didn’t go back
Right now, the big one weighing on my mind is Satisfactory. I’ve gotten to the point that it’s more likely that they finish developing the game than that I finish developing nuclear power in it -_-;
Bravely Default, Xenogears, Final Fantasy 5, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, Final Fantasy 11, Final Fantasy 12, Zelda ALTTP, Zelda MM, Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life, Xenoblade 1, Xenoblade 3…
I set a rule with myself. I’ll play games while I’m having fun and then stop when there’s something else. I don’t really care to beat games, I’ll play them to enjoy them! 😊
Most of them I’ve only finished a handful of games, most I get to like 75% through the game then decide that’s enough
Rimworld
Well yeah. Why would I leave a planet where I built a hotel for androids and nudists to visit and smoke weed on my couch?
Does anyone truly finish Rimworld?
You don’t finish Rimworld. Rimworld finishes you.
Dishonored 2. Got tired of going for pacifist route to get the “good ending”.
Pacifist? I beat them all up, Batman style. Every guard on every level got severe concussion, but nobody died, on my Good playthrough.
Lots of open world games, most of them are well received games but I find it hard to finish them.
Factorio
Red Dead Redemption 2
A lot of other people’s nostalgia games. Controls were so bad back in the day. The most notable example would be Vampire Masquerade.
Soviet Republic: Workers and Resources
Chemical and Aluminium supply chains were always too complex so far.
Cities Skylines
DLC2Win, traffic problems are real.
The Witcher 3
The DLC’s are too damn hard and Toussaint is so distracting. Fuck Velen.
Minecraft
I don’t even know how large parts of this game work anymore: Elytra, Portals in the End, Underwater fortresses, Pigsphere in the Nether?
Terraria
Bosses are really hard and scary.
Papers Please
Dö-Dö-Dö
Turns out if you build transit that your traffic problems go away
I’m talking about highway-connected industry with rail ex- and import and cities with trams, metro, buses, bicycle lanes. Transit didn’t solve all problems last I checked.
I mean, it sorta does in Cities Skylines tbh
Traffic Manager mod helps a lot too.
If you haven’t been keeping up with it, Cities Skylines 2 has fixed all of the problems I had with the traffic management. Mainly the awful traffic AI.
