Guess it’s back to Reddit then.

So we have decentralised versions or Twitter, Reddit and YouTube? What a great time this is.

They are the same mods from Reddit which are well know for their intolerance to criticism.

It’s been a lot longer since I played the Underground games or Carbon but I remember MW 05 being one of the best Need for Speed games ever made.

What didn’t you like about MW? Obviously the rubber banding is a given but don’t Underground 1 & 2 have the same problem?

Even discounting emulation old games are easy to play now as they are all available physically and don’t depend on servers still being up.

Sounds dull yet it’s oddly satisfying.

For point one my parents don’t even bother to read error messages. They just close them then phone me and complain the computer is broken.

I also don’t use Twitter and haven’t for many years now. Even longer for Facebook.

It’s the volume of person data it scoops up. I don’t understand why anyone would happily share that much information just to use a social media app.

Why would anyone voluntarily use it anyway?

Only you can answer if it’s “worth it.”

All I can you is you can play the entire game offline with only the loot crates and multiplayer being inaccessible. The question is are the loot crates important to you? You can play the game very happily without them if they aren’t.

In Payback you can do everything offline except earn and open shipments (loot crates) and obviously multiplayer.

Yeah it was pretty bad. I recently played through it and I could be 30 seconds ahead but hit one car and they’re right behind you again.

I’m not convinced of the benefits of allowing third party apps on the iPhone. I used to have a Galaxy and the store was full of shovelware.

As long as I don’t have to keep a lightning cable just for my phone I’ll be happy. Everything else I have is USB-C.

I hope not too but if they do I’ll be hopping over the channel for French one.

So the 2027 iPhone should have USB-C and a removable battery as long as it’s bought in the EU. Luckily they’re all unlocked and it’s only 35 minutes on the train from England to France. Guess I’ll be getting my phones from France from 2027.

I can see an EA or Ubisoft acquisition by Sony after this goes through. I kind of hope it’s EA. I’d like to see Phil Spencer try and argue that exclusives are bad and Xbox needs FIFA.

I’m against it because Xbox exclusives have been lower quality since they started coming to GamePass day one.

But on the other hand with the prospect of losing CoD Sony might develop a AAA first party FPS and that can only be a good thing.

So I suppose it’s got it’s pros and cons.

It’s a close call between The Inner Light and Measure of a Man with The Offspring in 3rd and Family a very close 4th.

I still put Far Beyond the Stars in the top spot.

The Offspring is a powerful episode but I think The Inner Light is TNG at it’s very best.
