And they kinda very much *are* her views. She did, after all, write a series of books replete with Jewish stereotypes and slavery apologia that, yeah, went over a lot of our heads when the books first came out because yay wizardstuffs, but now in context with everything else, it makes more sense. This game even involves putting down a goblin rebellion.
@hydroel @Spectacle8011 I’ve not necessarily seen anything truly world-ending when it comes to bugs in any Linux distro I’ve run. There’ll always be quirks and such somewhere, but I run Fedora and Gentoo on my boxes at home, and neither one has issues running games (other than the Fedora machine being a tablet, and not really being my main gaming machine).
My spouse who runs Windows has about the same number of games crashing out as I do, FWIW
@mouse I think the more valuable question to ask is, “How do we increase computer literacy?” Knowledge briefly peaked in early 2000s and only among the privileged. Then app stores took over and even the privileged can’t see beyond the walled garden.
We need to slow down. Not everyone has to be some master hacker, but it would be nice to have the free time to study, because tech resources are plentiful even on Windows, and any knowledge gained anywhere is reusable in different environments.
