Yes, I’m just offering an option to replicate that streaming functionality here. As to versatility, that depends entirely on what you’re doing. There are situations in which the Steamdeck would actually be the far more limited platform compared to what I described.

If you’re just wanting the functionality of a Steamdeck on some other device, there are a variety of ways to accomplish that. If the other device is an Android, you can just install the Steam Link app and you’re off to the races. If it’s something else, depending on the device you can probably get Moonlight running on it, which will accomplish the same thing but will actually have more versatility than you’d get with a Steamdeck anyway.

Best thing to do is use an external monitor. You can connect the phone via whatever USB interface it has - there are cheap USB to HDMI adapters on Amazon which should do the trick.

I, personally, have been blocking the users submitting the spam. This isn’t a good solution, but it does clear my feed out and make it so that I forget the spam is there until I see another user I need to block.

The other thing I have been doing is submitting content to my favorite magazines - if we actively engage the mags, we can force the spam down.

I agree that this may be the only real solution for the time being. I have personally been trying to submit good content to my favorite magazines to combat some of the spam, but there is a real influx of it and it’s making it difficult to use the site.

There was an issue a while back which caused their cloud service to be inoperable for several days, which broke many features but the printer still printed. I could be wrong but I think this is the first serious hardware problem, at least which necessitated a recall. Someone please correct me though if I got that wrong.

Yep, there was a time when streaming services actually became easier than piracy. That was when there was basically just Netflix and Hulu. If you had both of those, you had everything.

People still had jobs after the industrial revolution. We’ll still have jobs after the AI revolution. They may be different jobs in some cases, but there will still be a need for direct human interaction for a long time to come.

I think “integrated” is a better term for my usage than “addicted”. My phone is an extension of my digital presence, and although I work from a desktop computer day-to-day, my phone is an integral part of my ability to automate and operate my tools, hardware and software. Besides work stuff, it’s also fully integrated into my home life since it’s my interface for my home automation as well as my primary means of staying up to date with news and info I need.

But I don’t really play phone games, and I don’t do social media (other than KBin at the moment, anyway), so I don’t find myself using it in an addictive way too often.

It scratches my scrolling itch. I haven’t really been back to Reddit other than when Google lists Reddit as the best choice for some info I need. But I’ve really enjoyed KBin and the communities that are popping up here. I hope it continues to grow.
