I think that the 12,14 and 15 have been the worst so far. The XS Max was indestructible. The 13 seems tough as well. My 12 pro max was shattered in a case from a less than 2 foot fall. My XS Max feel from the Rocking Roller Coaster in DisneyWorld’s Hollywood and it didn’t phase it. I’ve heard that the titanium makes the 15 much more fragile. They say while the backs crack easily the repair costs aren’t near what they were with previous models. Not a great selling point. I think they should move back away from glass backs. Surely they can figure out a solution so that the MagSafe works with a thin metal back.

The built in screen protector is like the cheapest, easiest to scratch and delicate one ya can get. There’s a really small amount of adhesive on them. Once they break or start looking horrible I just pop the built in protector off and put a good heavy duty glass one in it’s place and that’s worked great so far.
Sounds like my story exactly. I loved the Unicorn frost case that I got for the 14 pro max but it yellowed fairly quickly.I Blason is another good cheaper option. I used Otter Box Deffender cases for years but switched last year and didn’t go back with the 15 either.
This is the one I’m using now. I bought a few different styles and decided to go with this 1st. It’s completely enclosed and is really sturdy. I don’t see the need for the giant helicopter landing pad on this the back. I can figure out where to use a MagSafe charger without it.
Does it still work? Mine fell off the back of my jeep. Got ran over twice and still functioned.It shattered the back and cracked the screen. I upgraded to a 15 pro max anyways.
You’ve been extremely lucky. The phone I’m using now is an 1phone 14pro max. It’s been in a Otter Box Deffender since I’ve had it. I took it out to clean and it had a tiny crack in the upper corner. It made me heart sick. I cleaned it and put the case back on it. I took it out to clean again and that tiny, almost unnoticeable crack has spread till the entire back is cracked. I’ve never dropped it or been rough with it. I have no idea why it still got cracked. I wish they’d stop using glass backs again. It’s idiotic in a sense. I also have the 15 pro max and I’ve seen a ton of videos that show the titanium getting so hot that it cracks the glass on the back. Titanium gets much hotter than aluminum. I live in fear of it being cracked too.
