Use the (DTS) setting when you’re only watching a movie with a DTS-encoded Blu-ray disc.
Use the (Linear PCM) setting for games that doesn’t support Dolby Audio & or Dolby Atmos, or when streaming Stereo content like YouTube, or when watching content from a Blu-ray disc.
Use the (Dolby Audio) setting when gaming or streaming content from the PS5, or watching a Dolby Audio encoded Blu-ray disc.
Use the (Dolby Atmos) setting if you’re playing actual Dolby Atmos content through streaming apps, a Dolby Atmos encoded Blu-ray Disc, or playing games that utilize the new 3D audio engine.
When using your own Blu-ray Discs & DVDs, there are also some settings you would need to change there too which is in a separate menu on the disc player.
