I began using https://www.startpage.com recently. It can do verbatim searches when using quotation marks, unlike certain other engines (why did DDG have to fail in that regard?)

By the way, if anyone wants to know about this mathemagic I speak of, it’s log polar coordinates. That’s it. Check it out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Log-polar_coordinates

If you’re speaking of all the trees, shrubs, small plants, fungi, insects and mammals. Yes, eventually! But as far as old growth goes, that takes decades, or even centuries. You can’t replace that easily or quickly, unfortunately :(

Hopefully Startpage stays useful.
I usually browse in incognito mode, so if something’s tracking me it can only do so until quit the session (unless it recognizes my IP address or browser fingerprint, but that is probably often more trouble than it’s worth for them). I use incognito mode not because I think it protects my privacy (it ultimately does not), but because I don’t want curated content unless I ask for it specifically. I don’t want search and media sites (such as YouTube) cramming me into my own interest bubble… such behavior just makes future searches less diverse.
