Fuck Reddit, here because of Spez.
Restricted.
Can confirm, this is the easiest to set up and forget for a family member.
Easy assuming you’re on the latest update, June and onward fixed my battery issues for me personally. Standard base model Pixel 7 here.
Place all apps that don’t need to notify you RIGHT AWAY into restricted power mode!
Settings > Battery > Battery Usage > click on each app that doesn’t need to give you instant notifications and make sure to change the ones you can from optimized to restricted.
If you’re using Revanced YouTube like I do personally, MAKE SURE to disable MicroG (the app used to authenticate Google login services), it WILL run in the background and drain battery, YouTube itself is fine to leave as you use it. (Optimized is how I have mine)
Four does seem low, it does seem spot on for a false positive. That being said, you can install something like GlassWire and monitor outgoing connections on a VM if you’re concerned, which I would recommend doing so on the latest Windows 11, to protect against any malware that could infect the host machine through the VM, it is rarer alas but it absolutely does exist in the wild. You can also check your router logs and firewall software, take it an extra step and block those IPs from contacting you through your HOSTS file on your Windows machine or Linux machine, (located in different locations of course).
Use a DNS that blocks adware access, such as a PRIVATE, PAID VPN service with no logs. These DNS services usually come with a filter list for known malware hosters and IPs and it’s an extra step in the right direction for protection against a file just in case it’s NOT a false positive. Good luck and I hope I helped you make a safe and informed decision for yourself!
Just bought mine on Prime Day, loving them so far paired up with my Pixel 7!

Thank you kind sir, you solved my long had mystery on why my music sounds better now, I had never tried Apple Music before, I had believed there was no higher quality than FLAC from Deezer…stupid I know, this also answers why some of the FLACS seems to be different size from Deezer. I had no idea Deezer rips were just CD copies essentially. Awesome to know man!
It doesn’t sadly lol, I thought I was the only one looking too, I’m glad to see it’s not just me though who wanted this. I have Deezer FLACs but nothing quite compares to ALAC, I feel the difference is pretty noticable, the file size is nearly double of a normal FLAC too. The disc space required for ALAC archive of songs would be ridiculous, but worth it!!!
Sorry, it does appear we’re reaching the end here.
There was some discussion on our old homebase…if this doesn’t work though I’m sorry other than any extensions I haven’t tried, I wouldn’t be sure on how to get them to download properly, it probably doesn’t have the data to do so which is why it doesn’t show correctly.
As per /u/aFancyUsernameHere -
“The script u’ll usually find on searches suck. For me the best way is if you have an IOS device. When you download and login to your account in Drive app. A google drive tab will show in the Files app. Just make a shortcut of the file to “My Drive” so it shows in the Files app. From there just press and hold and click share, send it via Telegram or anything that you can download from it. And thats it.”
No problem! Have you tried JDownloader2 to download the Google Drive link directly? I am 98% sure there’s a way to download the file even on view mode.
Also, can probably use JavaScript to download PDFs as well.
No problem, head here :

CTRL + F or search for keyword “without root access” no quotes
Once configured, head to Google and search up Magisk modules, or append whatever you’re looking for + Magisk module you may find some out dated ones, but if it’s a shell modification, it will work without root, even if the modification is outdated it’s very much still worth a try. If you use Snapchat you can use SnapEnhance to try it, it was the first app I used to verify Shizuku actually was initially configured correctly, there are others I’m sure but this is actually how I learned about Shizuku initially.
Edit : any system filed cannot be edited, nor can the kernel be accessed, root is still superior. Shizuku (no root) mode is strictly shell based.
Shizuka doesn’t require a rooted phone to run, it has to be re-enabled each reboot.
I don’t believe what you’re asking for exists, but I hope we can find a solution for you nonetheless!
Maybe try a virtual machine with an Android image and see what you can do from there instead. You can run pure Android disc images (.iso) from virtual machine emulator software. This way, you can edit and even root the Android installation all from the comfort and safety of your virtual machine and it can be easily deleted at any time. This will help you bake in anti-DRM or screen protection, or at least use root to disable the protection itself. I know there is a Magisk module already available for taking screenshots in protected apps.
Apple Music on Android has this same implementation, where if you screenshot a music video the screenshot comes out completely black and blanked.
I don’t know the end answer, but I believe your starting point is a rooted Android, and if this isn’t possible, use the root replacement that works on most devices, the SnapEnhance works without root and even gives free SnapChat Plus as an added bonus. Shizuka is a root replacement and a Magisk replacement. Magisk modules for DRM or protected view or screenshot protect may guide you in the proper direction, godspeed sir!
This right here is a gold mine, thank you!
Correct as stated above, for “security”. I also put the providers that DO work for torrenting since port forwarding is required to connect to a LOT of peers, a person who doesn’t know much about VPNs to begin with probably doesn’t understand that tech jargon we use, admittedly there is always a LOT to learn.
If you’re using one for security, Mullvad or iVPN are the two that come to mind mostly.
If you’re looking for one to torrent with there are quiet a few, but anything with port forwarding should do. Mullvad can be slower because of their extremely high level of security in general. Something like IPVanish, or NordVPN.
Also below, this is an incredibly great reference that’s continuously updated.
Do you need a VPN for some jurisdictions? NO. Should you use one anyways for obscurity and privacy? YES. Also to prevent issues with laws in other countries, which is unlikely from the start, but is exactly the point. Most countries only will try and prosecute copyright in their own jurisdictions unless you’re uploading and providing content. When a copyright troll firm resolves your IP (usually through torrent swarms) and hostname and it points to a VPN data center or server, they’re not going ANY further and they’re just going to move on to the next victim.
Just paid a dollar and can confirm while HQ and they let you download or stream it on the site itself, you can find all books standalone if you know where to look of course.
More than powerful enough have been using this same setup for a year and a half or so. 4K Max Fire Stick is powerful enough, base version probably depends on the decode of the 4K release, the larger the file however the more likely you are to run into problems in my experience. Keep in mind unless directly wired thru OTG via Ethernet, Fire sticks won’t get more than 600mbps download through WiFI.
Gross lmao
