Bone conduction is great! I use them to ride at a low volume. I can hear it if there is no traffic noise or big wind.

Where I live it’s flat so this is so beautiful and yet terrifying!
If you have a local bike store go talk to them! They could point you to any local groups. Other than that check strava because they have online clubs you may be able to search for your city/area.
The weight loss is amazing! I am starting to hit the top 10’s in strava and hopefully as I lose more I can get more/move up the list! I have a personal goal to complete a 100 mile ride before the end of summer and recently crossed off the 100km on my way to my goal!

For me, no matter what Reddit is dead. Lemmy is enough for my time wasting and has enough content that I have not missed it one bit. I feel like the communities are smaller, less toxic, and I want to contribute more here. They could completely reverse their decision and I will not return and I hope there are enough like me to make a difference. It just amazes me a site that exists to link to other content on the web and store text comments about said content isn’t profitable.
