I voted (against the RT’s candidates and policies) as soon as I got the pack through. You have to be a member to vote.
I feel disgusted that groups like RT are trying to undermine institutions like the National Trust for their own aims.

It’s easily got to the point where home broadband is not the limiting factor. We are a home of 2 people and our 500Mbps is more than sufficient.
At work we found that people’s home WiFi is way more limiting than the incoming connection.
Hate to be the one to tell you this, but it looks like she was searching for it.
That plus if they are selling a non-standardised service to a business it can be challenging to work out the cost. Projects, consultancy, etc all need to be scoped and estimated.
Thanks Tom! I appreciate the work you are doing to keep the server up and running.
Phil Westlake, who used to design IT systems for several large UK companies.
That’s who.
I get that a lot of my IT colleagues don’t want to faff around with self hosting email, or even running their own domain. But I really struggle with the idea that those who work in IT would ever trust their email to their ISP. That’s just asking for trouble.
I had to check it wasn’t April 1st.
Fair play to them, if they think they can do better elsewhere then have at it.
I sometimes think this is because of commercial real-estate, the death of the high-street, Pret not making as much money, etc.
But more often than not I think that it is because MPs and CEOs don’t actually like spending time with their families. Their work is their hobby, they don’t want to be ‘home with the kids’, and they like the office culture they have developed over their career. In the office they are important. At home they have to do the dishes.
“Concerns” - sure, be concerned but let the trial play out. That’s the point of a trial, to assess if something works or not.
The problem with MPs is that they continually ignore facts in favour of stupidity.
Not sure I would consider that to be mildly infuriating.
I didn’t think you could get those here in the UK, but it looks like you can! https://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/SPR5500_05/powersquid-5-outlets
My only gripe is that they look a bit messy… I am a neat freak when it comes to cabling.
Other language options may be important in the future anyway. Say for example you are researching a trip to Madrid. You find some communities for Madrid but don’t see any posts because they are all in Spanish. If you could see them then you can always use a translation tool.
Granted for general browsing outside of that use case, I only want to see English.
I am sick of everything having a wall-wart transformer, especially where the size or shape prevents other things from being plugged into the adjacent sockets.
Looks to me like it is the school that is taking the piss.
There is also !bristol@lemmy.ml because what would this would be with only one Bristol?
It sounds impossible, but these things happen:
