It’s a blogging platform. So similar to WordPress. Although it looks a lot nicer.
The really cool thing is that it has support for payments in the Self-hosted version, which I’ve not personally seen before.
Oh no! Anyways…
DEI has been in the news the past few days as being some controversial concept. So I looked it up, and find out it means “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”.
You realize that’s just a name, right? They can name things whatever they want.
The argument against it is that people are disadvantaged based on the color of their skin or their race. In other words, racism. That’s why some people are upset. People will deny this over and over but they’re simply being irrational and disingenuous because they don’t want to be associated with the word.
Now I’m gonna tell you something about this that no one else will: This type of racism is good. It’s meant to combat other types of much more prevalent racism.
Society just needs to acknowledge that racism isn’t an inherently bad word and then we’re all just better off.
Shit mine was 1/3 of that haha
That’s how he fixed COVID. Stop the testing and COVID goes away, right?
At launch, it was cheaper than other PC handhelds
Still is.
and had better performance
I mean that’s a virtue. All the other consoles used to have better performance as well. The only way it could compete with the latest tech is to release a new one with higher performance, which is not what you want. You want devs to have stable performance targets.
And while SteamOS was buggy
It hasn’t gotten worse…?
the UI was much better to navigate than Windows.
…still is. As would a Steam console.
As for a console that game play PC games, there’s just more competition and and less unsolved problems to solve.
There’s zero competition, as far as I can tell…
What is your bike frame made of?
There are better solutions but its important to keep things simple, also.
I mean I’d say the Steam Deck has been super successful, I fail to see any reason a desktop machine couldn’t be successful for the same reasons…?
Money? Is it money?
clicks article
For Meta, it’s all about the money.
Shocking.
But I don’t know what their state is until after I buy them. That’s the point.
Was it GTFO? Because that’s the one that comes to mind for me.
is there demand for this game? Are people willing to pay for it?
What happens if the answer is no?
Not sure what you’re trying to say here. You realize VW was founded by Nazis?
Am I wrong in thinking “Early Access” is just a way for devs to sell lazily slapped together games? Like I’ve seen games that are in “early access” for years. Just feels like an admission: “this game might be broken in many ways but we don’t accept responsibility because it’s ‘early access’”.
They also sell bare chassis, if you need something to put it in.
Crazy that subreddits that revolve around blatant public racism could be so awful!
Lemmy is simply not the place for that sort of communication.
My recommendation would be SimpleX.
Check out phtn.app and Voyager for Lemmy (app/PWA).
