Looking at this comment sections, I still don’t understand why it’s a bad idea to have more than one options. Like come on, if you don’t like it, you don’t need to use it. If you don’t like Touch ID, then just don’t use it? But for us who wants to have it, let us has an option to have it. The same goes to sideloading.

Still don’t understand with those mentality that hates anything that against Apple’s decision. Like, what’s wrong with having more option? Mac already has this for decades and is that becomes a disaster I don’t think so?

And finally, this side loading can gives me much more positive impact. First, no more Safari-based 3rd part browser. I can finally install a real Chrome that based on Blink, or a real Firefox that based on Gecko. Second, I can install some older games/apps that’s no longer available on App Store (literally also some advantage of having a Windows device/Android, you can run old apps on it). And last, emulators, baby! Can wait to use my iPad Mini as some Switch or PS3 emulator. Don’t forget about FOSS too, but I won’t mention it here.

What are you waiting for? Piracy? Hahaha but no, that’s not the main reason why we loves side loading.

Apart from fanboys or anyone who stuck on the comfortability of Apple ecosystem, majority of Europeans will just go to Android route anyways. Why would you think they want to having a hard time buying a phone which is not available in their country/region?

I think you misunderstood my point. It has a great animation, but I just don’t like the user interface, like the Settings, Notification Panel (replacing it with 3rd-party one from Play Store gives more hassle than what it supposed to be), etc.

Well tbh… almost nothing. But it just gives comfort to our eyes. When you tried 120Hz, there’s no way switching back to 60Hz would be unnoticeable. A normal eyes would notice the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz especially when scrolling.

How often? Much, for sure. And I kinda don’t like took an extra step to insert a number. Hold the alphabet keyboard to take a number also wastes many milliseconds.

Well it depends on which Android skin that you’re talking about. For me, Pixel (Stock-AOSP) UI and iOS are just in par — simple and elegant. Most Chinese Android UI look like some bad attempt of copying iOS though. One UI? Other than the animation and it’s more one hand friendly UI, I just didn’t like the UI looks, dunno why.
