Yes I remember a few years ago someone on /r/kratom did some kind of experiment where they stored kratom in various conditions for a long time and sampled to compare to original values. IIRC with some kind of objective chemical analysis. My recollection is that as long as it is dry it is OK.
I don’t know what is happening with this situation and the forum post linked at the top which was the source doesn’t really clear anything up…
but to pick up on one of the least important details:
9,800 kg of kratom from Indonesia … The invoice submitted on May 16, 2018, with the entry package, stated that the value of the goods was $61,728.
Is that $6/kg or did I forget how to do arithmetic?

The one I started is https://kbin.social/m/kratom
I can’t really find anyone on fediverse actively discussing kratom. It seems slow going for all the communities regardless of rules.
I would like a place to discuss vendors… but I do not know how all these fediverse admins will react to this. I would be interested to observe other situations to see what happens. For now it’s all pretty freewheeling but I don’t think that’s gonna last. Since kratom in general is so low-interest I don’t think we’re gonna be the ones to test it.
Sorry if this isn’t the right place to put this. Feel free to delete once you’ve seen it. I tried to verify email for account signup but got https warning when clicking the link:

What could be causing this?
Most likely, the website simply does not support HTTPS. It’s also possible that an attacker is involved. If you decide to visit the website, you should not enter any sensitive information like passwords, emails, or credit card details.
If you continue, HTTPS-Only Mode will be turned off temporarily for this site.
@RecursiveParadox I can’t speak for @foof. I started a kratom community on kbin.social. I also decided not to allow sourcing. The reason is that I am not interested in running a marketplace. I don’t want a bunch of spam. I think there is a lot of other stuff to discuss.
It would be great to have a separate place for vendors to advertise, people to post reviews and so on. Hoping someone will take that on who wants to have it happen!
I’ve used this tool from the developer’s instance. It works as intended. I haven’t tried the new release.
I was skeptical that it would work to be honest. Particularly as I am a kbin user modding a kbin community. However, I was able to create an alt account on a lemmy instance and give the account mod status in the kbin community. So I use that account to post. I would be nice if kbin could be directly supported but I understand there are ongoing issues with the kbin API — lack-thereof. For time being, the workaround has been functional.
Logging in to the interface, I can’t see any of the prior scheduled posts I’ve made which did used to be visible. Maybe the new version is a breaking change from prior. Which is fine with me. This kind of thing will obviously have an experimental nature to it. I am hoping that going forward the previously-scheduled posts will be visible because it is convenient.
My review is five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the application. Thank you @rikudou for building and sharing this very useful application.
