Also instances don’t synchrone all content between all instances. They do it on demand…
AFAIK Kbin -> Lemmy only synchronizes new content. While they’re both on the fediverse, they don’t have direct support, so it’s a bit finnicky.
Also known as “nullishcat” and “??cat”. I develop some stuff for FMHY and run iDoISO and Nebula’s Essence. Make sure to follow my CalcKey account for announcements and updates. (CalcKey is accessible by most Mastodon / fediverse apps.)

based but it’s twitter so 😢
the 10 people downvoting has something hiding in the closet
I could be wrong but when looking at the changed code, it still uses a token, specifically on this line. It’s possibly using user routes instead of the actual paid API, but it’s hard to tell without knowing twitter’s API in depth. Also it’s not possible to get everything just by web scraping, especially after they locked everything behind logins. AFAIK the most you can do is impersonate search crawling and get singular tweets or profile bios.
Let’s hope they don’t throw a fit like Google is doing.
“self funded” is a bit wrong since the lemmy server is literally free, but yes, everything we host is self funded. we will never ever EVER make freemediaheckyeah a paid service.
^ This.
Even simple stuff like SLI (having multiple GPUs for rendering games) can be complicated and not widely supported anymore. Parallel computing is basically reserved for servers at this point (which makes sense, if you’re running something intensive like an AI service, you don’t want to put it all on one server.)

would NOT recommend protonvpn since it’s the same company running protonmail, which has a history of bad security and has given private mails to governments. plus their free plan is pretty bad and doesn’t have port forwarding. but it’s an unpopular opinion ig.
anyways, i’ve been using airvpn and it’s been fairly good. some other ones include:
