  • Nothing new over the holidays but I finally got off my ass and sent my BAKx (which I got in early 2023) in for repair. Still mostly using the Dani Fusion right now, I bought that in September or October I believe. Both great vapes, looking forward to getting my bak back soon!

Venti certainly looks interesting although people also love mighty and crafty which were both pretty underwhelming to me when I tried them with friends.

Right now I’m pretty happy with where my collection is although there are always more vapes I’d like to try. Gonna go back to my one new vape per year after splurging on two last year (finishing uni and getting my first big boy job was a good excuse to treat myself a bit).

  • Love mine as a beater vape for taking with me everywhere. Vape + 5 dosing caps usually lasts me well for a day/evening out, it doesn’t take up a lot of space and people don’t give you a second look when using it in public because they assume it’s some kind of e-cig. And it extracts well and tastes okayish for most of the sesh.

Wouldn’t use it at home, but I got a sizeable collection of great vapes to choose from. For someone with low budget, it’d be feasible as only vape too I imagine!

  • Pro tip - Fury Edge/POTV One capsules fit the oven on the Xmax v3 Pro.

That’s true, but they don’t work very well in my experience (the ones I have at least). There are dedicated v3 Pro dosing caps that are lighter weight and have no holes on the sides that work much much better.

Oh yeah, I have one (original US maple version). I can’t say I’ve ever really mastered it, but I get it out every now and then and sometimes I get really great sessions out of it.

I gotta step up my torch game though, not really happy on that front yet. I got a lot of great butane vapes that deserve better than the shitty, inconsistent, small flames gas station torches I got. So if you got any recommendations there, I’m all ears!

Yeah they got the normal Dani (I think v3 is the current one?) and the Fusion. V3 is more conduction, closer to a Dyna in terms of what kind of hit you get supposedly. Fusion is mostly convection. I think I’ll get a V3 tip too down the line (just the tip - should fit the same stems afaik).

  • Bought the vaponic as my first vape when I was like 17, then a mflb when I was 19 or 20. Used the mflb regularly but still continued smoking as main means of consumption. Then I bought a Dyna in 2018 and fully switched to vaping. That really kicked it off for me, now I own like 10+ different vapes and a few extra Dyna setups, aswell as a few different glass options and all kinds of adapters and shit. Most of which I bought between '18 and '21.

  • Honestly, I sometimes start pretty low temp to get the most out of the terps, but I always finish on high temps. For bong rips, I go high temp straight away.

As for this chart - there’s been much debate around it, the accuracy is questionable at best. As soon as you have multiple compounds with different boiling points, it goes out of the window anyway because that changes the boiling points of all substances in the mix.

  • Definitely!

V3 wins for on the go use. Its form factor is close enough to an e-cig that nobody gives me a second look and I’ve even used it in very crowded places without issue. It extracts a bit faster, has a replaceable battery, is relatively easy to clean and has a sturdy, high class feel to it that you wouldn’t expect from a budget device.

That said, the solo 2 easily blows it out of the water in terms of flavour and smoothness of the vapor. It also extracts a bit more thoroughly. I wouldn’t pick up the V3 over it at home on the couch. A bowl takes a bit more time (with my use about 5 min for the V3 vs 10 minutes for the solo 2). It’s even easier to clean and the battery capacity is massive. I’ve used mine almost daily for about 4 years, only since I got the BAK it’s getting a bit less use and a charge still lasts for 10+ bowls.

Ultimately it’s a question of your use case, if you wanna bring it with you and use it out and about a lot, go V3, otherwise solo 2.
