Thanks for this! I’m a full coverage nut but didn’t know about their freebies, guess I’ll be adding it to my calendar as well 🙂

I’ve sort of half watched AEW when it happens to be on it I guess it’s about to become solid weekly viewing. Seeing those two back together is going to hit just right.
I bust them every time I forget to thread one strand at a time - two just destroys them. Pinching at the narrow end helps but I ended up buying a pack of 100 and not worrying too much.
Don’t apologise, I’m That Person in a whole host of subjects, lol. As good as that recipe looks (the photos are fantastic), I’d probably try it with chicken breast instead, only I don’t know what agave syrup is or if I could find it in a kiwi supermarket.
I love this idea! And someone finally found a proper use for tofu 😉
These are so cute!
I think I’ve been to the movies once since covid and I have no plans to go back. The tickets are too expensive to be ruined by people being on their phones or talking to each other about what happens next. If there was the option to take your own headphones in to drown out the dickheads I’d probably go back.
That looks like it would have been a fun stitch, congrats on the finish!
That looks great on black!
The thing about cross stitch is: it’s only one stitch at a time. If you can do a little pattern you can definitely do a big one!
Congratulations that’s a huge amount of progress!
I’ve seen people suggest that it’s to do with your own body chemistry but I dont know if there’s any science to back it up. At any rate, they recommended gold plated needles to help prevent the problem.
That sounds intriguing, I look forward to the photos 😉
Good luck with your challenge! I’d love to see a progress pic next time you have it off the snaps, it looks beautiful.
Also, 28ct? Do you use a magnifier or anything?
Unfixable flubs = adding the personal touch. You don’t really want to spend all those hours creating something absolutely identical to someone else’s work, right?
This is on 16ct and is one of the smaller HAEDs that I was able to find - their patterns are generally immense and not very practical at bigger count sizes, but my eyes would probably melt if I tried anything on the recommended 25ct.
I don’t think railroading makes all that much of a difference unless you’re using more than two strands on a big count. I think I was just complicating things for myself and I’m much happier not bothering. You’ve just got to find your own sweet spot and figure out what works for you!
I started this after spending weeks on another owl pattern that was 11 shades of grey. The intense colours were definitely the main draw, lol.
Excellent, it’ll pair nicely with the ridiculous number of HAED patterns I’m hoarding.
