https://testflight.apple.com/join/o9m6BbyU Looking forward to hearing from you all! It’s not finished yet but I haven’t ran into any show stoppers yet. That’s up to you all 🥲
Hey I’ve got a build out on TestFlight now(: https://testflight.apple.com/join/o9m6BbyU and I have a community I created on sh.itjust.works, but I think beehaw blocks them? I’m out of the loop on that one. Will probably wind up just hosting my own instance so everyone can take part. it’s /c/olympusapp for anyone interested. I also have an issue tracker setup on GitHub here that I’ll be prettying up in the coming days.
It’s still very much in alpha state but it’s good enough that I’ve been using it as my daily driver for some time now so thought I’d release and get some more hands on it. Gonna head out and start replying to some ppl that expressed interest as well
Love tree supports
You have it marked as Android but it’s for iOS only (: but thanks!
Olympus is an iOS app I’ve been working on. TestFlight will most likely be available by Monday. It uses a lot of new iOS SDKs so only those using the iOS17 beta will be able to use it until September. I’ll be making a new community somewhere once the TestFlight goes live, but I’ll post here as well.
I’m working on a native iOS app called Olympus too(‘: it’s built with all the new SDKs Apple gave us for iOS 17 (meaning only those on the iOS 17 beta will be able to use it). I should have a TestFlight link up by Monday, doing some final smoke testing this weekend before I let all you users try and break it
To your second point: already done. As for the first one, I can definitely add that as an option but one of my favorite features from Apollo was that it told you when there were new comments since the last time you opened the post. What if it hid the post unless there were new comments in the thread? Maybe have that as an option as well. I’m really going for extreme levels of customization & I love the idea
These are awesome requests, I’ll be sure to reach out to you when the app is ready for testing. If you or anyone else have requests when it comes to mod tools specifically please reach out to me. I’ve never been a mod on here or Reddit so I’m not sure what types of tools mods need, but there are definitely APIs for that and I’d love to take advantage of them.
It does this already. When there are multiple posts with the same link they are grouped together and you can choose which one to enter when you navigate to the comments. Still experimenting with it
I’m taking a lot of inspiration. If my app is as stable and feature-rich as Apollo I will feel very accomplished. After all these years browsing with Apollo the current options for Lemmy just feel lackluster.
Working title is Olympus. I already bought the domain so hopefully nothing better comes. The long term goal is to support multiple platforms like kbin & mastodon and possibly (optionally) Reddit
It’s not really a hamburger menu that’s just the icon I chose to use. it works the same way Apollo does.
Oh 100%! I plan on a user-submitted theme gallery along with completely customizable color options so you can set your own colors too
Correct. It is in the plans if they ever sort it out.
Already in the plans! 😁
I don’t personally align with either political party but the fact that you didn’t see the irony in this before posting it is really something spectacular.
