  • It’s probably more like they can’t deny the reality of trans people, but they think that it’s a very tiny minority and the rest are just cultists.

You see this same fallacy with autism. Why are there “suddenly” more autistic kids? It isn’t because vaccines are giving them autism or something like that. It’s because doctors know what to look for to diagnose now.

People fall into this same trap with trans people, because 20 years ago it was extremely rare to meet an out trans person. So, now it looks like they’re suddenly everywhere! What could be the cause? A trans cult recruiting people?!

No, it’s a cultural shift. Damn, people can be stupid sometimes.

  • We base our risk analysis on things that happen to us, and that’s error-prone. Just because something happened to you, that doesn’t make it a frequent occurrence. Again, just because your neighbor was a serial killer, that doesn’t mean that you have to worry about living around serial killers for the rest of your life.

It isn’t rank-and-file Democrats. At least, not directly. It’s their shitty candidates. And they might’ve actually gotten Sanders nominated, if the DNC hadn’t forced Harris on us.

There was no way that Harris was going to win. It didn’t matter how nice or persuasive her supporters were. People could clearly see that she was an empty suit.
