It probably wouldn’t work with Lemmy, but kbin users could do it. Might give the fediverse more attention, but it would need to be more original than a r/place clone.

Something like this doesn’t strictly need to be done by the app developers or administrator. Which is to say, if you will it, it is no dream.
Do I think the Kbin and Lemmy developers are going to do major events like that? Not any time soon. Do I think someone else might come around and build something for a big community event like this? Maybe.
