For every good progressive motion I see - like the unixporn discussion about the racist origin of the term “ricing”, here’s another horrifically fascist supporting motion like “let’s vote Donald Trump just to cause chaos”.
For all the massive virtue signalling and moral high horse sitting, Hexbears actually do more damage to progressive causes than help. Donald Trump is the reason we got a SCOTUS that rolled back RvW. It’s a regression back 50 years in the opresson of women and women are suffering because of it, RIGHT NOW.
It CAN and IT WILL get worse of DJT is elected again. This isn’t online dunking against libs. This is REAL LIFE CONSEQUENCES.
It seems the reason lots of Hexbears support fascist movements is that they know fascism is unstable, it’s not going to last, good chance it will collapse much of society underneath it. And they think the collapse will bring the opportunity for communism. But it’s such a looong shot. How much are you willing to sacrifice POC, women, genderqueer people, for a long shot at communism?
And for the people who call themselves “trans allys” online because they fuss about pronouns, if you support a group that has explicitly said they want to ELIMINATE trans people, you are not a real ally, you’re a fake. Nobody is paying attention to how they’re being gendered when they’re standing in front of a firing squad.
