What threat? If NATO wanted to invade Russia, Putler has created the perfect opportunity for them to do so. Russian aggression is the perfect excuse. The Russian military is clearly outmatched massively if NATO brought in it’s more advanced weaponry with NATO forces, and what capability Russia does have is bound up in a quagmire.
Putin has “protected” Russia from NATO by serving it up on a platter for them. Yet, no invasion. Gosh, it’s almost like there are other deterrents at play that don’t require invading neighboring countries.
