i’m playing final fantasy vii and watching x-men cartoons on television. this is honestly the best time period ever. teenage me is so happy right now. if grunge and magic the gathering would come back, i’m in heaven.
absolutely love how the animation is so similar and i love all the callbacks to the original.

Great work making Cyclops cool again. The sky dive was my favourite scene in this episode.

Excellent starter episode.
The mysterious outside who has to learn about the X-Men, the gang assembling, each character having at least one solo moment to shine.
Not to mention fun cartoony stuff like Cyclops slow beam falling or Beast just jumping inside and controlling a Sentinel.
Plus, plenty of conflicts to be sorted out this season.
But of course my favorite, Gambit is back. So underutilized in live action. Glad to see him return.
Agreed on Gambit. It will be interesting to see how he responds to Magneto and Rogue’s rekindled connection.
