But, but, but our false appearance of neutrality!/ S

Choosing a point in the center of two other arbitrary points will never be neutral or balanced. At this point they have been for a long time and just confirmed that they are still a propaganda outlet.

This is 100% about ratings and business. This news article is free publicity for NBC to have this woman probably talk trash about the coming election and recruit ”moderate” Republican viewers.

This is 100% about corporate news not giving a shit about truth and democracy. Journalistic ethics are dead. The logical next step is to burn the Reichstag.

Not disagreeing, just sharpening the point.

Carrie Budoff Brown left Politico to join NBC.

Hey, unrelated, member when that guy ran CNN after the right-wing asshole bought it, and his big splash was letting trump shit on his face at a “town hall”? And he got kicked to the curb about 10 minutes later?

    That was awesome.

CNBC and especially Jim Cramer were rooting for Trump back in 2019/2020.

This is just mask off at this point.

The owners are Billionaires who don’t want to pay taxes. CNBC has been pining for the destruction of Social Security and “eNtiTLeMenTs” for over 4 years now.

    Fuck NBC.

It’s been far longer than that, Rosebud (movie reference to one I’m about to mention), you may want to search Joseph Pulitzer, Randolph Hearst and yellow journalism.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team,” Carrie Budoff Brown, senior vice president of politics at NBC News, said in a memo to staff.

During her time as chair, McDaniel repeatedly attacked the press, which has become increasingly popular in Republican circles over the last several years as Donald Trump demonizes journalists and news institutions.

McDaniel was involved in a phone call in 2020 to pressure Michigan county officials not to certify the vote from the Detroit area, where Joe Biden had a commanding lead.

NBC’s hiring of McDaniel, however, plays into a recent trend at the network’s outlets, which has seemingly softened its stance on Trump as he inches toward the Republican nomination for president.

Earlier this month, CNBC hosted Trump for a lengthy phone interview in which the network’s anchors allowed him to peddle lies and conspiracy theories on air without scrutiny.

Star host Rachel Maddow, who has said carrying Trump’s lies on the air is dangerous, even objected to the network broadcasting a recent speech from the presumptive Republican nominee, calling it “irresponsible.”

The original article contains 612 words, the summary contains 180 words. Saved 71%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

You can customise that home page and the news hover to show nothing, which is what I always do.
