Gun ownership solely for sustainable hunting or protection from large animals like polar bears is a separate thing that doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with that hostile to humanity crap.
There’s a reason why guns in the “Wild West” were heavily regulated inside many of the actual towns. They knew being armed was the opposite of being polite.
