The Yesterday’s Enterprise uniform was slightly different from the standard S3 uniform. The neck doesn’t have the notch around the throat, it’s closer to a turtleneck.

Yeah, the only times Denise Crosby returned in a Starfleet uniform, it was in her season 1 jumpsuit or this alternate uniform. The collar is closed, the sleeves have black cuffs, and everyone is wearing silver belts with a phaser holster and a delta shield beltbuckle.

Captain Picard on the bridge of the Enterprise-D in an alternate timeline, looking over his shoulder to the Security station and seeing Tasha Yar standing in Worf's place.

(Those belts are so cool! Why didn’t they ever reuse them?!)

A little too Buck Rogers, perhaps? Not that I disagree, but it seems more to separate and make their existence less plausible and more fantastical.

Maybe they stole them from another wardrobe, and had to give them back? I think it made sense for that timeline. Like something to make it easy for Starfleet officers to find each other on the battlefield if it’s dark or there’s lots of smoke.

The oversized and completely pointless delta shields feels much more like something that belongs in the current run of Star Trek shows. That you only ever see it in a darker alternate timeline makes their inclusion somewhat prescient.

For battlefield practicality, it makes sense. As for the blatancy of the brand, it definitely tracks with Lower Decks.

            Can’t say I wouldn’t want a pair.

Those at least look marketable (to these 21st century eyes).

Much better than the moon shoes from season 1 of Discovery.
