as a Brit in the us I’ve come to understand its all nostalgia.

I would absolutely demolish a Wimpy for nostalgia’s sake back home, despite it being mid fast food

That’s exactly what it is. It’s the fast food I grew up with. It’s the burger I ate after going to the beach. It’s the burger I ate when my roommate was too lazy to go out, so he’d give me money and his car keys to go get it. It’s the burger I ate in high school and college with classmates.

Well over thirty years after all of the above, it still takes me back to those simpler times.

I rarely go anymore because of some of their politics and the fact that they’ve more or less disregarded employee training in their Texas stores where I live now. The California employees know what the hell they’re doing to a man. The Texas employees, well, not so much.

Wait, soggy? I guess it depends on the place then. Their fries in my favorite place are a hit or miss (most of the times they add too much salt), but I don’t remember them being soggy.

Soggy isn’t a good description here, but they don’t do a double-step cooking process to give them the really good crispiness. The burgers are great for the price, but yeah the fries are def mid.

Yet they always have lines around the block. People can’t get enough of the animal-style.

An In-N-Out trip is going to be at least a 20 minute wait if you’re going through the drive thru. I’ve never seen a dead In-N-Out. They are always absurdly busy.
