I like souls-likes, but the talk of taxes in the story makes me scared that it’s libertarian cringe.

Also how does it run on Switch?

It’s really great. My personal favorite game of 2024 thus far, narrowly beating out Balatro kril-bashful

The politics of the game are all-but-explicitly socialist. I don’t want to spoil anything or even any of the little bits because I was genuinely caught off-guard in a good way and don’t want to deny that to others so you’re just going to have to trust me here?

Switch performance is jank–no two ways about it. It’s definitely unoptimized. They seem to have fixed the game-breaking/softlocking glitches on it (as I am currently making a friend couch-play it for my entertainment), but you are going to notice lag, I’m not going to sugarcoat it.

I played it all, definitely not libertarian cringe. I really enjoyed the story, although it’s not Marxist Theory: The Soulslike or anything.

It… doesn’t run great on Switch. Crashed multiple times, glitched in a frustrating way during one of the first boss fights, just felt kinda janky at points, had to restart it when it slowed down too much to play. But if that doesn’t sound like it’d bother you too much, definitely go for it. I enjoyed it a lot once I embraced the jank.

Didn’t one of us work on this? I swear I remember reading that a couple of weeks ago.

I was going to torrent this because I have negative money but then decided against it when someone said they worked on it.
