If you mix the semen of multiple men and pour it into your uterus, then you can have a baby with multiple genes, like a build-a-bear.

Tell me you don’t know how fertilization works without telling me you don’t know how fertilization works.

I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works. Only 1 sperm can fertilize the egg. All this would do is lead to confusion over which sperm won the race.

Does anyone know if there’s an equivalent of BadWomensAnatomy on Lemmy? Because this post would be a perfect addition. Edit: it looks like there is.

Only a single sperm can fertilize the egg. It does not matter whether or not all the other sperm cells are from one or from a thousend different men.

Most of my sexual information is from porn as of now. I need to wait a few months to actually learn about it. Unless you’re referring to dominant and recessive genes.

I’m too young to reveal that information online.

I’m leaning more toward the latter just because in my schooling, Biology was not a requirement. The only reason I even took the class was because my school had very few AP classes, and based on my test scores from Jr high, they wanted to put me in literally all of them. Biology was only an AP class. It also had an FFA requirement, which is why I ended up passing with just a D; I never went to the FFA meetings, and that was like 40% of the grade.

A “Showerthought” is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you’re doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

  • Both “200” and “160” are 2 minutes in microwave math
  • When you’re a kid, you don’t realize you’re also watching your mom and dad grow up.
  • More dreams have been destroyed by alarm clocks than anything else

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as “capitalism” and “communism”. If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy’s Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
