As of 3/15/24 - The case may proceed, but either Fulton County DA, Fani Willis and her office or Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade must remove themselves due to the appearance of impropriety.

All 19 defendants have surrendered.
Trial - A trial date of Aug. 5, 2024 has been requested, not approved yet.
Three defendants, Kenneth Chesebro, Sidney Powell, and bail bondsman Scott Hall, have all pled guilty and have agreed to testify in other cases.

The E. Jean Carroll trial for sexual assault and defamation where Trump was found liable and ordered to pay $5 million before immediately defaming her again resulting in a demand for $10 million is not listed as it’s a civil case and not a crimimal one. He was found liable in that case for $83.3 million.
There had been multiple cases in multiple states to remove Trump from the ballot, citing ineligibility under the 14th amendment.
The Supreme Court ruled on March 4th that states do not have the ability to determine eligibility in Federal elections.
It fucking infuriates me how slowly all of these are going. These are all minimum 3.5 year old cases. Some of them are 8 years old or more. I get that they are taking their time to make sure all the ducks are in the tightest row possible and that in one of the cases the judge is intentionally stalling everything, but this is insanely slow.
Keep in mind, the one we just got a conviction on is from events in 2016…
I think the Washington DC cases could use an update. April 25 has come and gone.
Supreme Court should be ruling on that any time now. They don’t release rulings until they’re about to leave for the year in June.
Between now and the end of the month they’ll announce a BUNCH of stuff, including this.
Might be better to note that the arguments were heard in April and we are waiting on the decision in June.
Somehow, republicans think “I should obviously vote for the convicted felon to the claimed party of law and order” is logical
Well their argument is that it’s all a witch hunt and it’s being used for political purposes. Doesn’t really matter what he does because they don’t believe he does anything illegal.
