The real problem is that those who are elected by leveraging our flawed system are unlikely to change the system once in power.
They’re more likely to use the flaws to retain their power, this is how the GOP still has so much power despite most of their base literally dying off. They lost every popular vote in the presidential election for the last 30 years.
The wheels of change in government bureaucracy are slooooww. With the damage done to the judicial system his first go around, is it too late to start making these changes? I would like to think not, but with those clowns on the bench giving us all the middle finger right now give me pause.
Only when attempting to make progress. Regression is fast. Trump repealed 112 climate regulations last term, undoing Obama administration and even some Bush administration progress. He can, has, and will undo any progress that would otherwise put people or planet over profits.
