I’ve made several alts over the years and it’s wild to see how badly wreckers fumble on sounding like a leftist.

I used to think I needed to build more credibility before making a post, but it’s not the case at all. If you’re cool and stay consistent in your values, people here are so willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

Thanks for being a cool community who bans transphobes, debate lords, and chuds.

Sometimes we get nazbols here. Remember that “OrganizeOrDie” nazbol that was wishing death upon people with depression?

They were called OrganizeOrDie, but they made something like ten alts over the next few days, screaming increasingly mass-murdery power fantasies about what (ableist slurs here) deserved for failing their idea of what real revolution ought to be.

      NazBol

I understand that nazbol is an utterly incoherent (and basically entirely online) reactionary ideology, and maybe I’m naiive for thinking this (and I’m definitely not defending the abhorrent views many of them have, nor do I think they should ever be tolerated here), but does it not serve as a useful pipeline to salvage people from full blown nazism?

The way I see it, best case scenario, people initially drawn to nazbol are eventually forced to grapple with the inconherency and may end up deciding after a time that its reactionary features are not worth retaining, and may eventually just continue on down the communism pipeline. Worst case, they are marooned in what is essentially a dead end ideology with virtually zero real world organizing, but also end up being quite alienated from “full nazi” movements that do have real world organizing and real consequences.

I don’t know of any other political “pipeline” that is capable of moving people on the far right to the left so efficiently. I’m curious what others think about this.

I appreciate your honest answer. I do agree with what you’re saying, but at the same time I think people who already are firmly in the camp of “nazi” have a already had leftist language sufficiently muddied in their minds. Introducing (admittedly sometimes distorted) leftist concepts, and even the simple idea that “actually, Marx and Marxism are based” seems like it could only be an improvement when working backwards from nazism.

I’ve met IRL nazbols cause Texoma is hell - They’re just Nazis who read some theory. The worst case is they organize other fascists using a fraud of socialist promises based on racial hierarchy.

Of the ones I’ve met - I would not say it is in any way possible to move them left. The false socialism is just to imagine a good place for themselves in the world - the brutal genocidal rage is the core of who they are and they’ll take that over everything.
