Are we suggesting IDF soldiers are unaccountable to the IDF or Israel? Are we suggesting the Israeli genocide is just a bunch of rogue Israeli civilians acting on their own volition?

What a weird line of defense, comparing war crimes committed by a nation’s military to mass shootings committed by unaffiliated civilian terrorists acting on their own.

I’m suggesting that the one responsible for a killing is the one who pulled the trigger. Or in the case of the military, the one who gave the order.

“the one responsible is […] the one who gave the order”

ok so back to your analogy, the US would be handing guns and ammunition the ‘one responsible’, then?

In the same sense that Sweden gave weapons to those responsible for Columbine.

Lmao, only if Sweden is knowingly handing weapons to someone who is currently slaughtering children.

Most soldiers in the IDF have not killed anyone. The US is not seeking out those who have in order to arm them.

It is providing weapons to a group, knowing that some of the people in that group might use the weapons to kill. Which is also what Sweden is doing.

“the one responsible is […] the one who gave the order”

You already said responsibility sits further up the chain than individual soldiers. If “the one who gave the order” is responsible for the genocide, then the US is handing guns and bullets directly to those people (the ones who are giving the orders).

Yes, like I said the US is arming people who are responsible for killing as well as people who are not responsible. Which is also what Sweden is doing.

We, as Americans, are gonna have to find this “Genocide Georg” who should not have been counted.

There are about 40K Gazan casualties but over 600K IDF soldiers including reserves. So the vast majority of soldiers have not killed anyone.
