I’m guessing they’re referring to “DMT entity” as a metaphysical entity and not a shared hallucination? Otherwise, seems pretty rational actually. DMT has been used a long time in South America in the form of Ayahuasca, it wouldn’t be surprising if there were religious entities inspired by it.

“Machine elves” are a general term for a type of hallucination. There isn’t a shared hallucination of a specific god of machine elves. Especially not with specific traits.

I dunno how insane it is, considering patterns of shared hallucinations between otherwise unconnected individuals before it turned into a well known thing, but it’s certainly stretching the idea beyond anything realistic.

DMT is the main psychoactive compound in Ayahuasca, the other main component in Ayahuasca is going into be an MAOI which prevents enzymes from breaking down the DMT when you you ingest it orally which also allows for a much longer trip because it now takes your body longer to clear out the DMT. There may also be some other alkaloids in Ayahuasca, but the main component is going to be DMT.

Mainstream media sometimes uses the terms ayahuasca and DMT interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. While DMT is a crucial ingredient in ayahuasca, its effects are quite different, particularly in experience intensity and duration. Research suggests that both show promise or are being investigated for a variety of conditions.

Typically, ayahuasca is a brew of two plants, one of which contains DMT, while the ayahuasca vine contains harmala alkaloids or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Therefore, ayahuasca may be chemically reduced to DMT + MAOIs taken by mouth, while DMT is typically used via inhalation without MAOIs.

DMT is found in Ayahuasca, yes, but the two drugs are experienced very differently. It’s like saying Kratom is interchangeable with Opioids because they share certain compounds, when in reality they’re not even derived from the same plant.

No its not the same as that at all. Its more like saying that drinking kratom tea is the same as taking pure mitragynine, or that eating weed cookies is the same as taking a dab. Neither is strictly true, but dmt is the active ingredient in ayahuasca, its just a different form of administration.

Dmt is a psychedelic that you smoke. It’s like 10x stronger than lsd, but lasts very briefly. Usually people report literally being transported somewhere else, and seeing stuff like this.

I thought it was Veracocha. I think you’d probably have a nice chance of meeting him on drugs in the 00s though. Carte Blanche was released almost 30 years ago.
