When visiting a friend in Austin, TX for the first time, we went to a local band show and saw a band that was 100% seriously called Diarrhea Planet. That was my first night in Austin, so it served as a outstandingly representative introduction to that weird-ass city.

Bonus story: When leaving the bar that night, we saw a guy laying down on a lawn passed out while everyone just walked around him. We woke him up to see if he was okay. The dude was hammered and lost his friends, so we offered to give him a ride. He ended up being a really coole dude. He was visiting from Ireland (yes, he had red hair 👨‍🦰). He was out with his friends, but he stepped out and got lost. He had gotten so drunk because only a few days before, he saw one of his friends get hit by a car and die. We took him to Whataburger for late night drinking munchies, took a bunch of silly pictures together, then dropped him off.
