You guys are not winning, I don’t care about you getting 5%, the only thing I care about is utilizing leverage to stop a genocide.
Useless fucks.

On the contrary, we would be counting on it. The sooner this charade of bourg electoral politics is totally publicly disgraced, the sooner average people will warm up to the idea of using other means to improve their lives. But first they have to get utterly shit on for trying to do it by the book, so that nobody has any illusions about the necessity of what comes next.

There is no plan lmao. You gotta wake up. The weapons won’t stop flowing. This is it.

The only ones doing anything to stop it are doing it with guns and bombs in and around Israel.

Palestine Action has the right approach. Instead of wasting time in the political arena which is completely controlled by Zionists, they focus their attention on disrupting the production and distribution of weapons.

They’re the ones who just got off in court by a jury right? Bless them and that jury.

I wonder how that stuff would play out in the US. I’d guess shot approaching the building, but idk if anyone has tried.

Yeah, they kept getting acquitted. Part of it was because Elbit and other arm manufacturers don’t usually own their premises, but lease them. Meaning the property leasers are the damaged party (or at least one of the main ones) for the occupations and break ins. So lawyers for Palestine Action would demonstrate that Elbit was producing components for weapons that might make the property owners complicit in future war crimes litigation, and naturally those property owners don’t want any part of that when they could lease their facilities to some low risk company that just makes buts for forklifts or whatever.

The problem now is that this was so successful that the British state is now going after them with spurious and misused anti-terror charges, where the injured party would be ‘the government’, they can exclude pretty much any evidence or arguments about international law they want, or just impose such evil and impossible bail conditions on people they can then imprison them for 5 years for breaching bail conditions, like they also have been recently for pro-Palestine journalists.

That series of tweets seem completely delusional. Jill Stein has no leverage to speak of, the Democrats will not be punished for carrying out a genocide, and will never compromise on their pro genocide principles. What victory does this person even want? To ‘prove to americans that the Dems will throw them under the bus’? That’s been the Democratic party platform for at least 30 years now.

Let’s say there’s a palestinian american who, somehow, does not yet know that the Democrats wants them dead. What are they gonna do after Jill Stein uses her great and incredible leverage and the Dems tell her to fuck off? Write Jill Stein in? Lmao.

Jill Stein has about as much leverage on the Democrats as liberal arab-israelis have on Netanyahu’s government.

Ah, you don’t need to be delusional to make a bad faith argument. She chose to make this bad, misleading take, delusion has nothing to do with it.

Noura is making a bad faith argument to sabatoge the Greens. In doing so being a tool of the Democrats and exposing herself. Why would the Democrats all the sudden do an about face because Noura was on the Green ticket? That makes no damned sense. Doesn’t she realize the Democrats DO NOT GIVE A SHIT about Noura or the Palestinians?

Her being on the Green ticket will not magically get the Dems to give a shit or have any leverage over the Dems. They are already pumping out commericals to target RFK Never Trumpers which are perfectly fine with the genocide.

They are not caring one damned bit about Green voters or PSL for that matter. All Noura was doing was being a DNC tool to “set the menu” on the ballot to remove the Green Party form even being an option. This was a dirty trick by the DNC and I’m glad Jill smelt it and didn’t fall for the trap.

Why are you being such a shitlib about this? Just admit you’re OK collaborating with Nazis.

Are you 12 years old and haven’t learned that politicians lie about everything? The Democrats would never follow through.

I JUST WANT SOMETHING DONE, ANYTHING DONE!
If the Dems don’t do shit then fine…nothing has changed, but there is even a CHANCE you could get something like an arms embargo that has to be attempted.
I don’t give a fuck about my purity or being a shitlib, I don’t care how righteous I would feel supporting or voting for the greens if it means jack shit happens regarding an ongoing genocide.

If you don’t want to be condescended to then don’t go acting like some radlib bad-jacketing the biggest anti-genocide political party in this fake election all because you’re naive enough to think the Dems would actually follow through on a promise like that. If you don’t want to be condescended to then don’t suggest that the biggest anti-genocide political party in the US fall into the age-old trap of trusting the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party kills social movements, it coopts any hint of radicalism and defangs them, and you want the Greens to collaborate with these Nazi fucks?! Get fucking real.

This is pointless infighting. Maybe it would have made sense to take the gambit. Maybe not. But a disagreement on tactics is not grounds for condemning an entire party.

An fuck it I can’t stop this tear. You know what’s pathetic? Grovelling to the Nazis to pretty please stop murdering people. The Democrats have no soul, no shame. You cannot negotiate with them. The Greens should act as a “spoiler” and seek to bring about the Democrats’ defeat, not collaborate with them. There can be no forgiveness and no quarter

If being pathetic gets concrete concessions than I don’t really care.
I don’t have any illusions about bourgeoise democracy, I don’t think socialism will come via reform, but there is a chance it can change policy in places and if “”groveling” gets something like an arms embargo implemented that stops the killing of Palestinians than its better than the greens making the democrats lose while they still die.

Can we just stop bothering with running 3rd party left-wing presidential candidates? Obviously you will never win, but also you won’t “build awareness” either. All that Jill Steins years of campaigning have achieved is convincing normies that she’s a Russian agent or something.

I don’t want to be overly critical of the PSL, but honestly I feel the same way about their presidential campaign. Yes, I’m sure it makes some people feel good when they vote socialist. But where is the actual awareness building? PSL gained a lot of members and attention in my area after the early Palestine protests. They have not gained anything from this presidential campaign that probably takes a bunch of their organizers time.

I assume it’s mostly the power of marketing. PSL has its hand in a lot of activism. They’re becoming a name in struggling communities while also showing up on a larger stage.

But I’m not in the PSL, I just do some work with them.

In my state, local municipality councils and BOEs can only have a 2/3rd party majority of a given party. In my town Dems only ever run 6 candidates since there are 9 seats and Dems are the largest voting block. If someone in the PSL ran in my town and got more then 500ish votes (dems get around 1600 to 1900), it would bump off one of the Republicans who always get the gimmy slots.

We really should be looking at the local election laws at that level and fielding candidates in spaces that skew Democrats. We need to look at the laws like the rules of a game and find the patterns and cases that give the left an in road.

I feel like this type of analysis is something a group of Marxists should be able to perform.

That’s what I’m saying. It’s a bad look that PSL always does the Presidential campaign with no chance of winning but, as far as I know, doesn’t already do local campaigns where it could realistically win. They should’ve been doing this years ago, unless they feel like they couldn’t handle the, or don’t want to, win. It makes it seem like a pointless organization. Good ML politics, sure, but pointless. If I wanted to stand around at a protest with no direct action I would just hang out with libs.

I say this as a non-PSL member who wants to like the PSL.

Even if it’s a bad idea on the face of it, surely having national news plastered with “third party influences two party state policy for first time” would be beneficial for said party based? (if it worked of course)
