I’m going to keep pointing this out until it becomes a part of the narrative.

The strategy of prominent Republicans flipping to vote for Harris is specifically designed to help Republicans win Congress.

If Republican voters are demoralized by the prospect of Trump, a lot are going to just stay home and not vote at all. That would lead to a Democratic electoral sweep.

Cheney, George Will and other Republican ghouls’ best option to avoid this is to give permission to their voting base to toss their Presidential vote to Harris, but also get them into the polls so they can be reliable Republican voters down the ticket and try to keep the House and take the Senate.

FFS, quit giving the enemy oxygen.

While I’m sure this is true, keeping the presidency away from the facists is still a good thing. If Dems+people voting for the lesser evil can’t show up enough to prevent Rs taking congress the least we can do is have the Whitehouse stopping some of the Republican shitfuckery. It wouldn’t save us but it should slow our descent, give us more time to fix things.

Rs are going to the polls anyway and an R who shows up to the polls without feeling like they have an option (because their media lies to them)will still vote Trump. Votes being taken away from him are a good thing.

WTF?? Not one single Republican made that calculation. Do you really think people like the Lincoln Project and George Conway are motivated by bizzarro shit??? That endorsing Harris will somehow magically help Republicans?? What you said is Democrats trying to outsmart themselves with convoluted nonsense. This is NOT a normal partisan election. This is a unique event in American history. Trump wants Americans to treat this as just another normal election. Don’t play right into his hand. This is the greatest attack on democracy in American history. We need all hands on deck. We need everybody.

If Republican voters are demoralized by the prospect of Trump, a lot are going to just stay home and not vote at all. That would lead to a Democratic electoral sweep.

How the f*ck would conservative’s support of Harris change any of that? This makes no sense.

Cheney, George Will and other Republican ghouls’ best option to avoid this is to give permission to their voting base to toss their Presidential vote to Harris, but also get them into the polls so they can be reliable Republican voters down the ticket and try to keep the House and take the Senate.

That is utterly nonsensical. NOBODY NEEDS PERMISSION to vote.

FFS, quit giving the enemy oxygen.

FUCK THAT 100%! This is the greatest attack on democracy in American history. We don’t know if democracy will survive or not. We need all loyal Americans on our side. Loyal Americans who are conservative are NOT our enemies, they are our opponents. The neofascist movement are our enemies.

Get it through your head this is NOT a normal election of Democrats vs Republicans, this election is democrats vs neofascists. The outcome of this election will matter MUCH LONGER than a 2 year congressional term of office

He’s not right. Do you really think people like the Lincoln Project and George Conway are motivated by bizzarro shit??? This theory of “I’m endorsing Harris to magically help Republicans” is asinine. It is Dems trying to outsmart themselves by thinking up bizzaro convoluted shit.

This is the analogy I’ve been using.

Trump is the high school football coach who won a lot of games by feeding his players steroids and meth. The rest of the GOP leadership is the faculty that knew what he was doing but wanted the championship. Now that the players are burning down the school the other teachers are a bit concerned.
