This song is overshadowed by so many of their other hits. It’s catchy, riffy, and I’d call it their best song.
My best friend growing up used to sing along with this every time it played. wrong lyric, ‘white man had the smoke’. lol. this video says ‘schmaltz’ which I’d never known. w/e that means.
The line references how white people adopted black culture’s blues style into their own style–rock. The whole song is practically a history lesson.
