I have one for my town (and outlying areas) that’s just for transgender people.

I’m over putting energy and effort into a corporate owned space.
I also would never want to try moderating my neighbors. Let them hateful on Facebook. Not my problem.
Fuck Discord
My community is generally on the narcissistic side, and I’ve tried using Discord twice and both times it was like a sewer for the mind. So I have no interest in either. It is kind of vindicating to see others in this thread don’t like Discord either. Sometimes it seems like the whole frigging world is on there.
My city has more than one. They are really useful at times, but some folks (like me) prefer forums where time seperation is the norm (like we have here on Lemmy). So I rarely use Discord.
Lansing MI has one
I haven’t visited in a while, but it’s a great community.
