Reminder that Hippos are the most dangerous animals and they are also herbivores
I’ve heard of someone surviving being bit by an adult, they had a hole in their chest the size of a 12oz soda can (sorry for Amerikkkan units, that’s how they described it)
The ancient Egyptians associated hippos with Seth the dark chaos god that killed Osiris and chopped his dingaling off.

Yea part of the reason you don’t see a lot of people getting close to adult hippos is they are the deadliest animal to humans. (Like actually deadly not you die from an infection they carry)
They’re a big problem for white water kayakers because they tend to attack anything that moves and their tusks will go through two thick layers of plastic and a human thigh like it’s nothing and then walk your ass down to the bottom of the pool.
Oh shit, and here I was thinking ‘fuck you rocks’ lying just below the surface were the worst thing a paddler could encounter, not an ambush hervabore’s tusks goring your thigh then pulling you under!
Look I just want to smooch Moo Deng, I don’t care if she’s actually an alien.
most humans only care about animals insofar as they can be used as affection-toys or slaves, and adult hippos are un-cuddle-able, they will maul you and are very territorial, and you can’t really use them for sustained economic activity like horses or donkeys, outside of like zoo exhibits.
Okay Felix but once on Hasan’s stream you said that you don’t like chickens because they’re like bugs to you and I was deeply disappointed, that is low-vibration animal enjoyment
My god that is an incredible take from Felix, I couldn’t agree more, birds in general have always been more like bugs to me (it’s the way they move), except Ravens for some reason, I consider them more like people

that is cute, but it is not a bug
Yes it’s not an insect of order hemiptera or homoptera but I’m trying to use the colloquial “bug” for the animal enjoyment libs
Did he just categorize seals as hairless mammals? Because Canadians have slaughtered millions of seals for the fur trade (and still do today).
I thought you were about to say Canadians qualify as hairless mammals

He’s from landlocked Chicago, the only Seal he saw growing up sang “Kiss From a Rose.”
