Eric Schmidt should shut the fuck up.
He is so out of touch. He’s been making some awful comments lately:
“If nobody uses your product, it doesn’t matter that you stole all the content”
“We’re not going to hit the climate goals anyway because we’re not organized to do it.”
Fuck the law and fuck the planet, I guess.
His climate statement was what I was thinking about when I told him to shut the fuck up. I wish reporters would do the same.
So the technology that advises people to use glue to keep toppings on pizza should be used to pick targets in warfare?
This cannot possibly go wrong. Ever.
Seriously, have any of these people ever read or watched any science fiction?
That’s what’s so wild to me. They’re clearly inspired by Sci Fi concepts, imagery, and terminology, but they’ve obviously never engaged with Sci Fi as literature since much of it warns us against the very things they want to produce. Shows just how uncritical they actually are.
Unless the death of all is their objective.
At this point I know we’re boned. I just want Skynet to kill all the useless fucks responsible for it’s own creation first. So we all have that small moment of smug satisfaction before we’re processed into biofuel ourselves.
A better plan would be to keep both. The advent of tanks did not make infantry obsolete. Nor did it make cavalry obsolete (immediately, anyway).
Armor is having a bit of future shock, but it will adapt, even as drone warfare advances.
