I’m very surprised. I guess when living in a heavily conservative area, it can persuade you to think the entire state would go their way. Apparently not and damn I’m happy to see this.

Me too! A few weeks ago, I was confident this would be shut down. But then today I was hearing the vast majority of my co-workers saying they were voting yes. Its very easy to put yourself in a bubble and believe you know which way the herd is heading. I’m happy sanity pulled through on this one.

It’s projected the No’s will prevail. But I think I’m still going to have some caution until I wake up tomorrow morning. I’m happy the guys with the pointless signs that said “Vote YES, Protect the 2nd Ammendment” are looking to fail miserably in their endeavor.

So, uh, I like the second amendment, but issue 1 is completely unrelated…

Of course the logic used for vote no campaigns was equally stupid, so I guess this one had dumb messaging all around.

The real intent and purpose of issue 1 was obvious from the very beginning, and I can only assume most people understood what it was really about.

I live in the opposite kind of area in the state, but from what I’ve seen/heard/read, it didn’t seem like as many people we’re energized about voting yes. But also in general for people that might have been more on the fence, people tend to shy against change and for the status quo… which may have contributed to some of the no vote as well.

I live in Cuyahoga falls which is considered mostly moderate Republicans. They’ll vote Trump but they aren’t the types you’d see on Jan 6th. They know he is bad but felt lesser of two evils about Hillary and they would mask up when in grocery stores type. Just old white people basically. I saw TONS of no signs and like 2 yes signs so few that me and my girl joked about taking them
