I think people like to gang up on it because Alan Moore criticized it, but let’s be real, he would never have been happy with a Hollywood movie anyway, and I think it could have been a lot worse.
DC just released the first half of an animated version which is a lot closer to the comic. It’s still not perfect, but I think it’s better than the film.
The movie has a lot of flaws, but I think they nailed this entire sequence perfectly. It’s so eerie.

I dunno, I quite like his politics, and I think this stance is a byproduct of him sticking to his guns in that aspect

I don’t need a movie to be 100.99999% accurate to the source material. That’s not realistic.
Especially with this source material. All things considered I think I enjoyed both about equally for what they are.
