Another beautiful shave. This Weck can provide BBS results at impossibly low angles. The width of the spine allows this. I’ve never used one, but I would think that a frameback straight razor has a blade thickness that is only a little wider than the Kismet blade. So I think one could get edge and bevel geometries that are similar to the Kismet, but the spine width on the Weck might be its real feature.
This is the first day that I’m not providing an update to the edge album. I can’t find any significant change from yesterday, so my comments (in the album) from yesterday’s image apply to today.
The only thing new that I can offer for today is another SOTD photo attempt.
No, I leave it in. I sanitize it with IPA and cotton swabs, and dry it with a lens-cleaning cloth. I’m able to clamp the razor under the microscope using the hack I came up with by raiding my electronics bench.
