I know I definitely did. I really had to cut back a lot. It was feeling problematic. But as I started getting back out into society (I happily isolated from everyone) and wanting to socialize over beers or cocktails, so many of my friends have quit altogether. I assume many due to their drinking during quarantine.

Yup. Quit during pandemic. Will be 3 years sans alcohol at the end of this month. Is my health better? Yes. Does it make socializing harder? Absolutely.

I certainly didn’t stop. I went from Trump to COVID to living alone in a new state and depression and back to Trump. Now I live in Hitler’s early days and next can look forward to world war III, Trump’s genocide, and America’s collapse. I won’t live to see it get good again, if it ever does.

So what I’m saying is, you can pry this alcohol out of my cold dead hands.
