Summary
Retired New Orleans priest Lawrence Hecker pleaded guilty to kidnapping and raping a boy in the 1970s.
Hecker, who admitted to molesting several other children, will receive a mandatory life sentence.
The case has led to an investigation into whether the archdiocese ran a child sex trafficking ring.

Turns out it wasn’t but only on a technicality: the child sex-trafficking ring was running the archdiocese.
