I don’t disagree with you that society as a whole has become spineless. People who stand up in defense of anything morally correct are rarely backed up anymore.
That being said, the scenario you put forth is a huge leap from the slow suffocation that is currently happening. A billionaire/CEO/tyrant/shadowpresident spraying bullets into an innocent crowd is a huge leap that would be neigh impossible to not have people lose their shit over.
