We hired a second person that does what I do and I got an 8% raise shortly after. Come to find out the new person got hired making 20% more than me. About a year later I finished a graduate degree and was told no, and very shortly after that we went on a company wide pay freeze. Things are looking up company wise, though, so I expect the next raise discussion to go differently, but I’ll be leaving if it doesn’t.

All that to say I have made it a point to slow down my deliverables since I was denied that last raise.
